Aydın Durmaz,

Graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Science Statistics with Master’s Degree, after graduating from TED Ankara College in 1968.  

His first job experience was in 1976, in Türkiye Şişe ve Cam Fabrikaları A.Ş. as a Software Engineer and afterwards as an analyst / software engineer.  

He joined to COATS Turkey, a multinational English company, in 1980. He worked in this company as the IT/IS director and for a short time as System Group director until 1994. By putting into practice in literal terms Turkey’s first ERP project, he made possible for about 50 users to access, via dummy terminals between Istanbul and Bursa, the host computer in the head office through private data lines, with modem and multiplexers and put ERP application as real-time, at the users’ disposal. By explaining this project in Miami, to senior managers of other countries which were included in the group in need of this system, he made it possible for them to work in the logic of this system and received an achievement award.

Between 1994 and 1998, he worked as Information Systems and Technology Manager in Çarşı Büyük Mağazacılık A.Ş., currently named as BOYNER. He created in a short time the Retail Merchandizing system in this corporation and started customer-product related applications between stores and head office. In four years he transformed the batch system he took over with 16 users and only with accounting application, into a real merchandising system, in which all categories were included and increased the number of users in real-time application to 300. He also started in this corporation Turkey’s first customer-product related DATAWAREHOUSE project.

He worked as Information Technology Manager between 1999 and 2000, in ASSAN Tüketici Finansmanı ve Kart Hizmetleri A.Ş. and started, with limited resources, multi-purpose Smart Card application which can be an example for Turkey.

Between 2002 and 2004, he worked as Vice General Manager in charge of Sales Marketing and Business Development, in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s important technology affiliate ISBAK A.Ş. He played an important role in the company expanding abroad by enabling the Traffic Technologies, developed in this corporation, to be presented in domestic and foreign fairs.  

In Scanning Technologies subjects, he worked as Country Channel Manager in Bicom Bilişim Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. between 2004 and 2006, as General Manager in ETB, one of the group companies of EB, and also as a member of executive committee of the group, between 2006 and 2009.

After providing services from 2009, in electronic archive and service office subjects, in MED BILGISAYAR ve SERVIS BURO SANAYI TICARET LTD., in which he is a partner, he currently works part time as IT Projects Sales and Marketing Coordinator, in BİLSER BİLGİSAYAR VE YÖNETİM SİSTEMLERİ A.Ş. and also cooperates with an Internal Audit company about IT supervision. Aydın Durmaz had a lot of training and gave many presentations in Turkey and abroad.
